Dara

Shawn

Dara Welk, Chief Executive Officer

With more than 20 years of experience in advertising and marketing, Dara fuels her passion by helping businesses take their brands to their next level. She has a keen ability for bringing ideas to your target audience that changes their behavior in a way that positively impacts your business. As CEO, Dara oversees our team of strategists, creatives and marketers. She pushes them to develop advertising and marketing campaigns that work for your business. Her experience spans numerous industries and includes global brands like Anheuser-Busch, Coca-Cola, GE, IBM, MasterCard and Nature Valley Granola Bars. Prior to joining Media Made Fresh, Dara was Corporate Marketing Director at the PGA TOUR. For 10 years, she helped shape the way multi-million dollar golf sponsorships were sold to executives at Fortune 100 companies. She also heavily influenced the way businesses and brands used golf to reach their target audience. Dara graduated with Honors from the University of North Florida in 2001 with two Bachelors, one in Advertising and one in Graphic Design. She began her advertising career working for Mayor John Delaney as a graphic designer, copywriter and television personality. She is passionate about serving the Jacksonville community. She previously facilitated a 6-part series called Marketing Matters at the Jacksonville Women’s Business Center. She also works closely with Villages of Hope to help develop long-term strategic plans, technology, and marketing strategies and tactics.

Shawn Welk, Global Chief Technology Officer, Head Nerd in Charge (HNIC)

With more than 21 years of experience in the IT/web development industry and a proven internet marketing trendsetter, Shawn works with businesses to develop innovative strategies that put their businesses ahead of the competition. He has a knack for knowing how to help your brand resonate with you target audience.

As Chief Technology Officer, Shawn leads our team of content developers, programmers and designers. He challenges them to develop a visual user environment that is cutting edge for your industry. His experience includes web development, internet marketing and e-commerce business solutions.

Prior to joining Media Made Fresh, Shawn founded and sold several companies. He led content development teams that programmed, designed and implemented over 100 e-Commerce sites. He collaborated with Google’s Senior Marketing Strategist to create an effective and efficient pay per click ad words campaign that increased convertible traffic while utilizing analytics and appropriate adjustments to help minimize cost per click. In addition to being a major trendsetter in web development and internet marketing, he developed the compression software that allowed for the first two-way video chat on a mobile device.

A computer programmer since the age of 7, Shawn graduated from the American College of Computer and Information Sciences in 1998 with an Associate of Science. He is currently earning credits towards an Applied Science, Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services masters degree from Harvard extension school and is involved in the Harvard Computer Society.

We have a 28 day qualification process for new clients. Before you meet with us, we will ask you to complete a series of questionnaires that will establish the business goals for website design projects and marketing campaigns.

Prospective clients that make the cut demonstrate the following:

  • A viable concept in an industry that is growing
  • An understanding that marketing is a necessary expense
  • An understanding that to make money you have to spend money
  • An understanding that marketing investments are a percentage of the total revenue goal
  • A least 3 vendor referrals or reference from existing Media Made Fresh client

After you submit the contact form below, an account manager will contact you to discuss your project and send the relevant questionnaires. Once you complete the questionnaires, we will schedule a FREE 30 minute consultation with you to discuss your objectives and determine if we are the right fit for each other. It is very important for you to have a clear sense of your budget before the initial consultation.

We require a minimum of $7,500 per project or a minimum of $5,000 a month in services with a 12 month commitment.
